Bisiesto es un proyecto sobre el pacto creado con los últimos avances tecnológicos, las nuevas normas de intercambio de documentación. Los motores de búsqueda conceden datos al instante, a cambio de nuestra intimidad. Ambas inexactas en algunos casos, configuran la nueva sociedad, formas y modos. Pero a su vez y con el tiempo, este tipo de información se trasforman en archivos inútiles que son almacenados, convirtiéndose en un tipo nuevo de residuo, la basura del big data.

Después de controlar las cronologías de ubicación a lo largo de un año, que un smartphone es capaz de lanzar sin ser abierto y confrontar la realidad divergente, sosiega la idea de vivir aun en la intimidad, pese a la contrariedad del acontecimiento.

Leap-year is a project on the pact created with the latest technological advances, the new rules of documentation exchange. Search engines instantly grant data in exchange for our privacy. Both inaccurate in some cases, shape the new society, forms and modes. But in turn and over time, this type of information is transformed into useless files that are stored, becoming a new type of waste, the big data garbage.

Durante mis paseos por la ciudad, suelo encontrar residuos voladores que se enredan en las ramas de los árboles, imágenes que capturo con la cámara del mi móvil. Ellos representan para mi los frutos de un Edén contemporáneo.

During my walks through the city, I usually find flying debris that gets tangled in the branches of the trees, images that I capture with my mobile camera. They represent for me the fruits of a contemporary Eden.
